Risk as a percentage
The best-known tool that expresses risk as a percentage is the US National Cancer Institute’s calculator, based on the Gail model. We do not run that calculation here: the tool was developed for four populations (US white, Black, Asian and Hispanic women) and there is no baseline rate table for Türkiye — a percentage computed from US data would mislead women here. The NCI itself notes that the tool is off for women born outside the United States. It is also intended for ages 35-74 and is not used for women with a history of breast cancer, DCIS or LCIS, or with a BRCA mutation.
